KWB completes 25,000 sq ft of transactions for office space in Solihull

KWB has let 4,900 sq ft of office space in Solihull to energy comparison company Business Juice, who has acquired the remaining first floor offices at Yorke House, Arleston Way in Shirley, Solihull. This follows on the back of the successful letting in January of this year to Grontmij, a leading European company in the consulting and engineering industry.

The office space letting to Business Juice, which has expanded out of London to open its first regional office, now sees Yorke House fully occupied together with leading global information services company, Experian, extending its lease on the ground floor at the end of last year.

The Pavilions offices, Solihull

Just around the corner, KWB, in conjunction with GVA commercial property agents, has completed the sale of Unit 5 at The Pavilions offices, Solihull to Bristol-based South West News Services (SWNS), the UK’s largest independent press agency. The 1,925 sq ft courtyard office building will be used to relocate its recently acquired NTI Media business from Birmingham city centre to Solihull.

Nigel Iskander, SWNS director, said: “The Pavilions is an established and successful business park in a great location. With its BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating, the office accommodation standard is excellent and has been finished to the highest specification. It’s central UK location is perfect for us and I am exceedingly pleased that we have been able to secure this building.”

Unit 5 is the third office building to be sold at The Pavilions since the start of 2013 resulting in 86% of the units now either sold, let or under offer. Only two office units of 2,323 sq ft and 3,164 sq ft remain available to purchase, representing the only Grade A offices in Solihull of this type available for freehold purchase from £360,000.

Mark Robinson of KWB, said: “In addition to the existing buildings, we are also marketing a cleared commercial property site of 1.83 acres which has consent for a second phase of the scheme comprising 12 courtyard office buildings. Alternative complementary uses could also be considered here, such as a GP surgery, subject to planning.”

Following the successful letting of the third floor in FORE 2 offices Solihull to ArcelorMittal last Autumn, KWB has now completed an arm’s length lease transaction to BAM Facilities Management (BAM FM) of 10,400 sq ft within the ground floor. BAM FM, which has relocated from nearby Knowle, manages facilities and services including cleaning, catering, security and building maintenance.

2680 Kings Court offices, Solihull at Birmingham Business Park

KWB has completed the sale of 7,000 sq ft of offices at Birmingham Business Park, Solihull to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). The SMMT, which supports and promotes the interests of the UK automotive industry, had previously leased office space just 100 yards away on the Park, and has shown its commitment to the location by now purchasing 2680 Kings Court, which provides them with more efficient office space.
