Civic seal of approval given to new office complex 40 Seven, Solihull
An office building with “wow” factor… Solihull Mayor and Mayoress Cllr David and Sally Bell, with David Bent of Countrywide Gallagher and Douglas Bonham (right) of KWB Office Property Specialists outside 40 Seven, the new office complex built in Solihull town centre.
Solihull’s Mayor and Mayoress, Councillor David Bell and wife Sally, gave the multi-million pound new office complex, 40 Seven, their civil seal of approval.
The Borough’s first couple admitted to being “taken aback” at the sheer magnitude of the tardis-like development built in Station Road, right in the heart of Solihull Town Centre. The duo were given a personal tour of the building – which offers 16,000 square feet of office space and nearly 30 car parking spaces - by David Bent, Technical Manager for the developer Countrywide Gallagher, and Douglas Bonham of letting agents KWB.
Cllr Bell said: “I’m very keen to promote business through the jewel in the crown that’s Solihull. 40 Seven has been developed in sympathy with its surroundings, it’s a truly magnificent building and one that is extremely deceptive. From the front façade of Station Road you would never think there’s 16,000 sq ft of offices completed to the highest standards. Combining this with its on-site car parking, I am confident it will prove an excellent opportunity for Countrywide. Fingers crossed, it should prove easy to let.”
Mrs Bell commented: “There’s certainly a “wow” factor surrounding the whole development, something I never thought possible from an office!”
Mr Bent, of Solihull-based Countrywide, added: “We’ve worked extremely closely with Solihull Borough Council in developing 40 Seven, inviting the Mayor and Mayoress along for a personal tour was our pleasure. Their reaction to the building was terrific.”
